Black Bearded Silkies

I have been raising Black Bearded Silkies since 2005 and my original stock came from Premier Silkies. Although I did raise other varieties at one time, I have kept my black Silkie strain pure, meaning I have not crossed the variety into any other variety, such as Splash, Blue, or Paint.

Very few breeders can honestly say this, especially this day and age, where everything seems to be crossed into Paints. Finding a breeder of solid black is very hard to come by.

I have 15 starred wins with the ABA, and at this time, I currently have 5 of those in the Black variety.
