Chicken Booties for sale

Do to many requests- I am starting to sell the booties show above in this picture. For now, I only have plain off white cotton cloth right now that I got discounted due to stain spots on it, and some leftover stuff I used before. Will work great for chicken boots that will get full of poo anyway. In order for me to make these I will need measurements for the bird. These can be made for any feather legged breed. I need the width of the foot INCLUDING the foot feathering that will go into the boot. Then I will also need the length, from the tip of the foot, to about mid leg, so that it is well over the toes so it can be secured. It will fasten with a drawstring cord. For basic bantam pair, price will be $6.00 per bantam pair or $8.00 for a large fowl pair. Shipping is extra. E-mail me if interested. I do not recommend these to be put on the chickens long term, as many birds will not want to walk or move in them. These are mostly for short term use, for example after you bathe the birds for a upcoming show, it will keep the foot feathering much cleaner until showtime than nothing at all.

Here are a few sample pics.

Eggs Available-

Mixed batch of Silkie eggs from my White, Blue/Black, and Buff pens. My choice in colors, it will just depend on who is laying. Fertility has been almost 100%. No promises you will get any certain color at all.

$50 a dozen, and that does include shipping, I normally will send 2 dozen or almost 2 dozen.

Due to the cost increase for Priority Mail, with delivery confirmation, my prices for shipping have gone up. If you notice, I go to a lot of work packaging these eggs, and I almost always send extra. I have to purchase cotton batting, bubble wrap, and packing peanuts and tape to ship these eggs out. I do not get any of it for free.

How I package Eggs for shipping-

All prices given below include the shipping & handling fees, and packaging supplies. I package eggs with cotton batting, bubble wrap, and egg carton and packing peanuts. These are shipped Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation. Please e-mail for availability.

Please NOTE- If eggs are dropped, shaken, abused, or exposed to extreme heat/cold for long periods, exposed to security x- ray machines the eggs may never develop at all or show any signs of fertility.  All of these things can render the eggs unhatchable.  Even if the box arrives undamaged to the eye, there is no guarantee that one or more of these hazards didn't occur. I will NOT refund any money if you do not get a hatch. You are taking a risk by shipping eggs- do not spend any more money than you are willing to lose.

This is how I package eggs for shipping:

I place cotton batting in the egg carton and then place eggs on top, large end up. Cotton batting is about $7.00 for a large box full at Wal-Mart.

Then I place another layer of batting over the eggs and close the lid.

I tuck the cotton batting into the carton as tightly as I can, close the lid, and tape or rubber band the carton closed.

Then, I surround the carton with bubble wrap, several times and tape in the middle.

I then take a Priority Mail box 12x12, (just a plain box in this picture) and place a layer of packing peanuts in the bottom of the box.

Then I put in the egg carton(s) and surround with more packing peanuts on all sides and top. I put enough in there so that it is difficult to close the lid. This prevents jiggling around.

Thats pretty much it. I rarely have anyone say the eggs didn't make it intact. I also mark on the boxes EXTREMELY FRAGILE- DO NOT SHAKE OR DROP.
