Another Win!

It has been a long weekend, and I for one am tired. We had a very nice turn out this year in the Featherleg class with well over 100 birds. I did not write down the exact numbers, but will get them some time this week once the Show secretary has a rest LOL. I think we had about 63 silkies show up, with as one of the judges said, some stiff competition. Our judges for the show were Frank Joseph for the Traditional Show and Jeff Halbach for the Futurity Show. Thank you to both judges for a wonderful job. This show was also our State and Western National meet for the National Silkie Breeders Association, respectively. We signed up at least 8 new members at this show, so we are doing well! I am very proud to say that I got Reserve Featherleg in the Traditional Show with a White Silkie Pullet, and got BOTH Reserve and Champion Featherleg with White Silkie Pullets in the Futurity Show, with one of the pullets taking Grand Champion of the Show.
